In short
We run a simple website with no user accounts, no advertising networks and no cross-site tracking. No advertising or analytics cookies are set. The typefaces are hosted on our own server, so no connection to Google is made. The map only loads once you click it.
Legal bases
We process personal data on the basis of:
- Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR – to prepare and perform an accommodation contract
- Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR – to meet legal obligations such as guest registration and tax retention rules
- Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR – legitimate interest in a secure, working website
- Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR – your consent, for example when loading the map
Hosting
This website is hosted by Hostinger: Hostinger International Ltd., 61 Lordou Vironos Street, 6023 Larnaca, Cyprus.
Hostinger acts as a processor under Art. 28 GDPR; a data processing agreement is in place. The servers are located within the European Union.

Server log files
Each time the site is accessed, the server automatically stores data sent by your browser: IP address, date and time, the file requested, the amount of data transferred, browser type and version, operating system and the referring page. This is technically necessary to deliver the site and serves system security. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The logs are deleted after 30 days at the latest and are not combined with other data.
Typefaces
The Jost and Newsreader typefaces are hosted on our own server under /assets/fonts/. No connection to Google servers is made and no IP address is passed to Google.
Map (OpenStreetMap)
The location pages contain a map. It only loads after you click it. Before that, no connection to a third-party server is made.
Once clicked, map tiles are loaded from the OpenStreetMap Foundation, St John’s Innovation Centre, Cowley Road, Cambridge CB4 0WS, United Kingdom, and your IP address is transmitted. Legal basis is your consent through that click, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. You can withdraw it at any time by reloading the page.

Booking calendar
An external booking system runs at luxescape-ferienwohnungen.at/buchen/. If you open that area, your data – name, contact details, travel dates, number of guests and payment details – is processed by the booking provider. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.
Contacting us
There is currently no contact form. You can reach us by e-mail, by phone or via WhatsApp. E-mails are kept for as long as needed to handle your enquiry; where a contract is concluded, statutory retention periods of seven years apply. Calls are not recorded.
Links to WhatsApp on this site are plain links, not embedded widgets – no data flows until you click one.
If you write to us on WhatsApp, WhatsApp Ireland Limited, Merrion Road, Dublin 4, D04 X2K5, Ireland, processes your data as an independent controller, and data may be transferred to the USA. Message content is end-to-end encrypted; connection data is not. If you would rather avoid this, please e-mail or call us instead.
Cookies and analytics
This website sets no advertising or analytics cookies. There is no Google Analytics, Google Ads, Meta pixel, TikTok pixel or comparable service. Should that change, we will ask for your consent first and update this notice. See our Cookies page.
Social networks
Where we link to Instagram, Facebook, YouTube or TikTok, these are ordinary links. No tracking pixels or embedded widgets from those providers are used.
Recipients
Data is shared only where necessary: with our hosting provider (processor), with the booking system provider if you book there, and with our tax advisers and authorities where legally required – for example guest registration with the tourism board. We do not sell data. There is no automated decision-making or profiling under Art. 22 GDPR.
Your rights
You have the right to access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20), objection (Art. 21) and withdrawal of consent (Art. 7(3) GDPR). A short message to luxescape@gmx.net is enough; we reply within one month.
